Job Description Shipping and Logistics Supervisor with Stork:

 

To support in the overall delivery of the Group’s business objectives, whilst implementing departmental procedures in line with Company standards. 

Responsible for co-ordination of all operational & Shipping aspects of all Maintenance & Modifications Product Lines, including the mobilisation of Plant Equipment & consumables.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities as Shipping and Logistics Supervisor:

 

Resource Management

 

  • Supervise Shipping & Logistics team personnel to ensure that they work safely and in an efficient and effective manner
  • Responsible for assisting in the management and accuracy of plant records.
  • Responsible for ensuring that customer and company deliverables are met.
  • Actively participate and contribute in the day-to-day interface between Mechanical, Inspection, Scaffolding and Operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all shipping is completed in accordance with applicable legislation including supervising all dangerous goods & radioactive shipments.

 

Materials & Logistics

 

  • Lead a team responsible for the Preparing, Packaging and Containerisation of Plant Equipment & Consumables to Client work sites and offshore locations.
  • Planning & Delegation of workscopes including liaising closely with all Base Facility departments to ensure shipping deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the co-ordination of all transportation and logistics including container stock allocation.
  • Responsible for International Shipments & ensuring custom compliance checks are completed.
  • Ensuring the compilation & filing of Document workpacks are completed by team.

 

 

HSEQ

 

  • Attend & contribute to health and safety training and briefs.
  • Assist in maintaining own and others’ health and safety.
  • Contribute to a culture of HSEQ improvement.
  • Support quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute work safely and reliably and to a quality standard.
  • Ensure you are adequately trained to carry out the job.

Specific Requirements for the Shipping and Logistics Supervisor:

 

Education & Experience

 

Education

 

  • Current IMDG Dangerous Goods by Sea/Road certification
  • Current IMDG Radioactive by Sea/Road certification
  • Computer literacy
  • 12 Ton Forklift

 

 Experience and Skills 

 

  • Good communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, team player
  • Excellent aptitude towards Health & Safety
  • Must be prepared to spend time with team developing their skills and expertise
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience in a comparable Supervisor role.
