This opportunity has arisen to cover a period of maternity leave.

 

What You’ll Do:


As our Recruitment Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving talent acquisition within your designated business lines. Working closely with line managers, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier recruitment strategies that align with our organisational goals and policies. In this role, you’ll lead and support a small team consisting of a Recruiter and a Recruitment Administrator. You will be hands on with delivering excellent recruitment support.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities as Recruitment Team Leader:

 

 

Shaping Policy:

 

 

  • Implement and refine recruitment and selection policies, continuously improving processes and tools.

 

Business Planning & Reporting:

 

  • Budget Management – Ensure the effective execution and allocation of the recruitment budget, following approval from the HR Business Line Director.
  • Weekly Recruitment Reporting – Generate and share weekly reports detailing recruitment progress and updates, providing valuable insights to HR Managers and key stakeholders, including local MT members and hiring managers.

 

People Management:

 

  • Provides direction and leadership to Recruiters to ensure operational efficiency of their respective areas of control to ensure best levels of service and delivery.
  • Manages the recruitment team’s time and progress, and constantly focuses on delivering maximum added value.
  • Ensures and implements adequate resources and structure to fill positions effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensures effective collaboration and cooperation within Recruitment team in order to achieve commitment and effective implementation of recruiting practices.
  • Ensure that technical knowledge is retained and developed in HR Recruitment team

 

Recruitment Excellence:

 

  • Collaborate with operational leaders to anticipate future talent needs.
  • Design and execute recruitment programs to attract top talent.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure job profiles align with team requirements.
  • Proactively source candidates through diverse channels and carry out initial screenings.
  • Facilitate a smooth candidate handover to management and HR, maintaining clear and constant communication.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and attend relevant events, including Careers Fairs

 

Selection & Assessment:

 

  • Conduct in-depth CV and application reviews.
  • Coordinate assessment tests, including IQ and personality evaluations (leveraging external testing agencies when needed).
  • Lead interviews and advise managers on the suitability of candidates.
  • Optimise the selection process for efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Building Relationships:

 

  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with recruitment sources, including universities, training institutes, and professional bodies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local service providers, agencies, and external recruitment partners

 

Administrative Leadership:

 

  • Oversee recruitment administration, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Provide essential administrative support to HR, managing candidate documentation and correspondence efficiently.
  • On-boarding suppliers and reviewing terms  

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

We are looking for someone with solid recruitment experience, ideally within a fast-paced environment. Experience in the oil, gas, or chemical sectors would be an advantage.

 

You should possess proven skills in interviewing and candidate selection. Experience with posting and marketing job advertisements via approved social media platforms or other nominated job boards, including in-depth knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter. Experience utilising innovative sourcing strategies, from passive search to active networking in order to build and maintain talent pipelines.

Hours: 37.5 hours
Contract:  Fixed-Term contract until January 2026

Working Arrangements: hybrid working is available, 3 days a week working in the office is the minimum requirement
