Job Description Operations Manager - Integrity Services with Stork:
Drive the overall delivery of the STORK business objectives for the assigned unit or department(s) by maximizing effectiveness and efficiency of execution of the company's production and/or services for relevant sectors of the industry and by managing and directing company staff within STORK policies and set objectives.
Tasks and Responsibilities as Operations Manager - Integrity Services:
Safety (HSE) leadership
- Responsible for:
- Provide positive safety leadership by showing example behaviour, appreciating good practice and launching HSE initiatives where appropriate (supported by Stork HSE).
- Overall responsible for the safety of assigned employees within the area of operations.
- Implement:
- Ensure compliance within the assigned unit or department with all company and statutory procedures and standards including any defined recording and reporting procedures.
- Ensure reporting and correction of any non-conformity and any suggested improvement (supported by Stork QA).
- Ensure adherence to client HSE policies.
- Implement and monitor management system policies and procedures (supported by Stork QA) within his area of operations ensuring that policies and procedures are understood at all levels within the unit or department and that the procedures reflect current practice.
- Initiate:
- Signal process efficiency improvement opportunities and assure implementation.
Sell company's portfolio to assigned clients or clients within assigned Area
- Promote the company's products and/or services to the clients.
- Support Sales in their sales efforts to the assigned clients.
- Promote integrated relationship with clients and demonstrate accountability for the expected products and/or services. Provide best solutions.
- Deliver input for quotes and proposals and comply with SOT process.
- Together with Sales Manager/PMI define and implement a business approach based on strategy, to optimally account for market conditions (clients, segments, country legislation and culture, portfolio, competitors, suppliers…).
Deliver products and/or services to clients with maximum profit
- Support delivery of the complete assigned portfolio of the Business Line.
- Ensure delivery is focused on client required delivery objectives. Responsible for verifying that agreed deliverables are delivered to schedule and technical integrity is met.
- Act as the senior focal point between internal Operational and PMO departments.
- Review and improve quality of service or product delivery. Strive for excellence.
- Ensure teams are focussed on management, development and innovation of work (processes) to achieve budgeted profit objectives and growth, including achieving optimum gross margins and control of the expenditures.
- Identify resource requirements and ensure deployment as necessary to deliver all operational activities.
- Monitor and ensure unit or department KPI's are challenged and achieved. Report progress and results against plan, make changes/corrective actions as required.
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of up-to-date business administration procedures and systems in the unit or department.
Staff management and performance
- Communicate with all staff on a regular basis on Stork, Business Line and unit/department strategy, targets and developments.
- Set SMART team goals & objectives aligned with Stork and Business Line strategy.
- Facilitate and encourage, with support of HR, professional development of assigned employees in line with strategy and operational plans.
- Encourage the growth and development of staff by appropriate delegation of responsibility and authority and assist all staff with career development and people potential review.
- Ensure P&D review cycle is carried out in line with company procedures.
- Overall responsible for the performance and discipline of all external contracted staff.
- Manage development of key contract personnel.
- Requisite and select staff.
- Ensure that there is a succession plan in place and is executed.

Education & Experience
Education
- Masters/Bachelor education or extensive previous experience within a relevant role (managing multidiscipline teams and projects)
Experience and Skills
- Relevant industry experience, proven business development, operational, technical, commercial, managerial and administrative knowledge and skills.
