Job Description:
To provide expert support and advice to business areas to achieve improved HSEQ compliance and performance in line with company standards and client expectations. This is a demanding role within a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, requiring regular interaction with internal stakeholders at all levels, as well as external auditors and clients.
A key aspect of the role is building strong, effective relationships across the business and influencing positive outcomes, often without direct authority. The role requires a strong understanding of HSEQ requirements within the relevant area of expertise, along with the ability to develop and implement HSEQ plans that ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Work across multiple projects
- Provide HSEQ authority sign-off for work packs.
- Review key HSEQ documentation to ensure suitability and sufficiency, including procedures, processes, risk assessments, and statutory requirements such as COSHH assessments.
- Respond to day-to-day requests for HSEQ advice and support relevant to the allocated business area,
- Provide HSEQ support across relevant geographical locations on a dynamic, as-required basis, including attendance at worksites where necessary, including offshore locations.
- Support the delivery of Corporate HSEQ objectives, including the regional implementation of corporate programmes and initiatives.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable legal and regulatory HSEQ requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in both leading and lagging HSEQ performance metrics.
- Support service and contract delivery activities, including:
- Accident and incident investigation and reporting
- Hazard identification and risk assessment processes
- Occupational health and industrial hygiene requirements
- Participation in business emergency response planning and activities
- Review and HSEQ sign-off of work packs to confirm compliance with requirements
Operational Support
- Provide guidance and coaching on HSEQ aspects pertinent to business area
- Provide input to the induction training programme
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of HS & E legislation in area of responsibility
Customer Relations
- Liaise with key stakeholders to produce HSEQ performance metrics relevant to Operations/Project and internal and external stakeholder
- Liaise with customers to develop and produce project/contract specific interface documents
- Attend customer meetings in relation to HSEQ issues.

Education & Training
Essential:
- NEBOSH
- Auditor qualification
- COSHH Assessor
- BOSIET and MIST training or willing to work towards
Desirable:
- Incident Investigation and root cause analysis Qualification
- Graduate Membership of IOSH or IIRSM (H&S)
- Experience of working in the offshore/construction sector
Optional –
- Membership of IEMA (Environmental)
- Membership of CQI (Quality)
