Job Description Business Development Manager with Stork:
Realization of the business line new award (growth) objectives through acquiring and retaining new and/or potential clients in markets and segments and build and strengthen tactical relations with present and new customers, in line with Stork’s (business Line) strategy and the UK sales policy.
Tasks and Responsibilities as Business Development Manager:
Acquisition and Sales
- Identify and close new business opportunities
- Build, maintain and expand a network of (new) Stork clients in the region
- Shapes new opportunities, acquire RFI’s, RFQ’s, orders and further develop business volumes in assigned markets, segments, accounts or in the business line
- Contribute to convert RFQ into feasible and profitable proposals and an annual sales with a predefined gross margin
- Accountable for his/her proposals, including commercials and content
- Maximize sales volume into existing markets.
Connecting skills and people management
- Capacity to build internal trust and alignment between disciplines and functions; especially operations and sales within own company as well as other Stork companies
- Maintain and support local delivery of operations to improve margins in existing contracts
Sales Policy
- Collect information regarding quantitative and qualitative developments
- Forecast client needs based on understanding of customer’s organization, needs, strategy and buying process, considering customer needs are translated into financial forecasting
- Analyze external developments and identify market trends and customer needs
- Adapt sales concepts and approach to new market and customer developments
- Ensure realization of sales objectives for the assigned sales domain/region and acquire approval
- Advise manager and companies’ management on sales strategy and activities
- Assures full compliance of the sales approval process taking into account commercial, proposal and risk requirements.

Specific Requirements for Business Development Manager:
Education & Experience
Education
- Higher vocational plus specialist knowledge on products and/or services
Experience and Skills
- Experience in Technical Services Industry
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power, Renewables, Manufacturing, Food&Pharma sector
- Moderate sales experience within applicable industry
