Job Description ANDT Specialist SME with Stork:
To support customers and Stork in the deployment and implementation of NDT and ANDT workscopes.
Tasks and Responsibilities as ANDT Specialist SME:
Testing
- Carrying out the Advanced Non Destructive Testing (ANDT) in accordance with relevant regulations / legislation and approved company procedures.
- Develop and implement novel techniques in line with latest technology
- Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable standards, codes or specifications.
- Carry out and supervise all tasks at or below level 2.
- Supporting and liaising with the clients.

Reporting
- Review / monitor inspection reports in line with BU standards, process and procedures
- Review / monitor processes and procedures in line with ISO UKAS 17020 accreditations and requirements.
- Completing inspection reports.
- Compile accurate reports compliant with the appropriate standards and specifications.
- Provide information on risks and mitigation actions in general, and specifically with regards to occupational health.

Specific Requirements for the ANDT Specialist SME:
Education & Experience
Education
- PCN Level 2 or equivalent in PAUT and /or ToFD,
- Other PCN Level II or equivalent certification in MPI, DPI, EC
- PCN Level 3s would be advantageous
- Familiar with different manufactures software, flaw detectors, probes and scanning mechanisms.
- Experience of ‘in-service’ and newly fabricated inspections, and types of defects typically associated
- Strong knowledge of International Standards and application of Company procedures.
- Proven ability to work without supervision and to provide effective supervision to others
Experience and Skills
- Working knowledge of the use and limitations of other specialist NDE techniques such as PEC, MFL, ACFM, Tube Inspection, Guided Wave
- Experience in inspection in a relevant industry i.e oil & gas, rail, power gen
- Ability to read and interpret commonly used engineering drawings and data sets used in support of inspection activities, e.g. piping isometrics, vessel general arrangements, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping schedules.
- Clear understanding of major discipline issues arising from production systems. Awareness of materials and key degradation mechanisms associated with the deterioration of on or offshore production facilities.
- Computer literate with proven ability to use common Microsoft Office packages and NDT UT software
- Proven ability to work without supervision and to provide effective supervision to others.
- Ability to effectively communicate and articulate inspection and corrosion issues at all levels within offshore organisation.
- Ability to communicate fluently and effectively, in the English language, with peers, direct reports, sub-contract personnel and immediate management
